PVA Embroidery Water-Soluble Film

PVA Embroidery Water-Soluble Film

Compostable
Product Material:PVA water-soluble film
Implementation Standard:
Degradation Cycle:180day
Applicable Scenarios:Delicate Fabrics: Cold-water dissolving protects heat-sensitive materials like lace, silk, and chiffon from scorching or distortion. Terry Cloth / Chenille: Stabilizes the plush surface, suppressing fuzz and preventing misaligned stitches for a smoother finish. Cutwork / Lace: Serves as the sole base for freestanding lace; dissolves completely to leave intricate, substrate-free patterns. Appliqué / 3D Embroidery: Acts as a temporary stabilizer to secure patches or support raised designs, vanishing without a trace post-wash.
Product Features:Zero Residue: Unlike traditional paper backings that leave behind lint or glue, PVA film dissolves completely in tap water without stringing or residue, ensuring a clean finish. Cold Water Dissolving: Dissolves at room temperature (15–30°C), avoiding the 90°C+ heat required by traditional papers. This prevents irreversible damage (wrinkling, shrinkage, discoloration) to delicate fabrics like silk, satin, and lace. Color Integrity: Protects heat-sensitive dyes, ensuring thread and fabric colors remain identical before and after dissolving. Process Versatility: Supports diverse techniques including appliqué, cutwork, lace, towel embroidery, and 3D effects. Ideal for substrate-free embroidery (e.g., standalone lace), where the film acts as the sole base and disappears entirely after washing.
Product Introduction
Product Parameters

PVA Embroidery Water-Soluble Film (Embroidery Water-Soluble Film, Water-Soluble Lining) is a mature application product of PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) water-soluble film in the textile embroidery field. Made primarily from PVA, it forms transparent or semi-transparent films that serve as temporary carriers for embroidery, suitable for intricate and high-precision embroidery work. The film is placed beneath or above the embroidery fabric (for special techniques like openwork embroidery) to support the embroidery process. After completion, simply immerse the finished piece in room-temperature water, allowing the film to dissolve completely, leaving only the perfect embroidered pattern. This product is an ideal upgrade and replacement for traditional embroidery paper lining and high-temperature water-soluble linings, particularly suited for fine embroidery applications such as high-end underwear, wedding dresses, lace, and towel fabrics.
